As Christ loved the Church....

I just want to say that I have the World's Best husband!! I don't know why or how I got him....well, maybe I know how ;) I have many friends and aquaintances that have horror stories of husbands who do nothing to help around the house or with the kids, and I'm sorry, but I just can't relate!
Since the day we were married, he has been out to please me and make me happy. He does so, so much for me and for our children. I cannot think if a time that I asked him for something that he has not provided for me. Granted, I don't ask for much, just a few pregnancy cravings here and there, but he always aims to please<3
He has never ever in almost 8 years of marriage said anything negative about the way I keep our home or about how I raise our children. He has never ever made any comments about any changes in my body during pregnancy or any other time. He tells me I am beautiful every day and goes out of his way to show me that he loves me, in my love language (which is amazing in itself since it changes, lol)....
When I think of Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;", I think of him. He puts our needs ahead of his own. He always encourages and forgives. When he sees me down, he does his best to pick me up. He just does it all.
And, he is the best Daddy a child could want. He is our hero.
And, he is mine, all mine.

A Time to Sing!

For a long time my husband has been asking me to make a cd and the time has finally come! When we were teenagers I made him a tape of me singing as a present....this time a few more people will be hearing it. Singing has always been something I have loved doing. I've always loved choir practices and wouldn't mind practicing for special music for hours. It is such a relaxing thing for me, so soothing. I sing all day long. I sing in the car, the shower, while doing dishes and household chores and especially when I am overwhelmed....It is very hard to complain when you are lifting your voice in praise to the Lord! During sermons I always think "man, _______ song would have been perfect to go with that sermon!" I think in songs, lol. I have much Scripture memorized and many songs memorized and I love how the Lord brings music and Scripture to mind exactly when I need it.
I have started recording a little, and am looking forward to doing more. The first time was a "rough draft" session I like to say=) A man in our church has his own little recording studio, which is a huge blessing because to rent one is expensive! Today I finished gettting all of my "mechanical licenses" and am ready to go! I picked my most favorite 12 songs and am looking forward to sharing these with others. I am not the world's greatest singer or anything, but I just love to sing. So, the time to sing has come....and I'll let you know how it turns out! Here is a list of the songs I have chosen.....
1 .I Have Been Blessed
2. We're it Not For Grace?
3. There is Hope
4. You're Not Alone
5. I Can Go In
6. Much Too High a Price
7. That's What Grace is For
8. One Holy Lamb
9. Put That on My Account
10. It's Through the Blood
11. He Gave Himself
12. About the Cross
I am still trying to decide on a CD title.....so, If you have any suggestions, feel free to share!

My First Post....

Well, here goes nothing, my friends! I am officially a blogger....ew, I don't like the way that sounds. Who came up with that name anyway??
I have been thinking about starting one of these up for a while now, but never could really figure out what I wanted to say....then I realized that I have nothing special to say, but I could share my experiences to try to help and encourage others...not that I have that much experience yet, seeing that I am only 26, but I have lots of fun adventures that fill our life that maybe someone will enjoy=)
I am a stay at home mom. I am a wife. I am pregnant, yet again;). I am married to a Pastor, which makes my kids the infamous "bad PK's".  I homeschool my children. I am a daughter and a sister; I am a friend. So, from these hats that I wear, you will get my perspective, thoughts and opinions. I am looking forward to being able to write down my thoughts for whoever will read them. Enjoy<3
